Deceased father ppi claim.

We are looking into making a claim for miss sold ppi for late father.
He passed away in 2008
Leaving aside all the other answers, it's extremely unlikely the Bank will have kept any financial records of a person deceased for more than a decade.
So, as well as providing proof that the complainant was the executor of that person's estate, there will have to be comprehensive documentary proof that the PPI was actually paid along with a compelling FACTUAL mis-selling complaint.
Can you provide each of these?
To be blunt, you have a mountain to climb pursuing this.
Sorry if that is not what you want to hear.0 -
Thanks very much for your advice. I think like you said that it gonna be difficult proving as it was a while ago.
I might hand this one over to a company to deal with.0 -
Like I said to the other user, if you ain’t got anything worth saying then don’t bother saying anything.
Especially having a !!!!! off with another person over someone else’s post.0 -
Normally my advise would be different, however given how you have responded to other posters then yes definitely go ahead with employing a company to do this for you... they will at least tell you what you want to hear, which is all you seem interested in.0

Do you have a working toilet? It would be much easier to simply flush your money down there.
Unless the claims company were with your father when he took out the policy, they won't know what his mis sale reasons would have been.0 -

Please understand claims firms are not experts, they employ minimum wage students and house wives to simply fill in the same form you'd use to complain if you did it yourself and post it off. They have no special skills or expertise, you have to provide all the info and all they save you is the effort of submitting the complaint yourself. Indeed, they may harm your complaint by adding in lies and false allegations that they can't prove.Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I'm not sure a Claims Company can actually take such a complaint on.
Won't they then be a representative of the representative of the deceased person?0 -
