We are looking into making a claim for miss sold ppi for late father.
He passed away in 2008 and my wife was one of two executors.
Any advice regarding how we go about starting a claim.
How do we obtain proof that wife was an executor etc.
Regards,
Mushio.

You need to make a complaint, not a claim. But you will need to stick to the facts of why you believe it was mis sold.
The will or probate documents will show who the executor was.0 -
Thanks for your reply. So in order to make a complaint we first need to obtain proof that my wife was an executor.
Who do we go to for that please.0 -
She, or the solicitors she used, will have a copy of the will and probate documents.0

We’re looking for advice not sarcastic remarks.
If you have nothing worth hearing then please don’t bother.
Thanks.0 -
Whatever company you ccomplain to will tell you what they need for a complaint on behalf of a deceased person.
Bear in mind you can't use
they didn't know they had it
they didn't want it
they were told they had to have it
You can only use factual reasons, like, they had a lot of savings, they had cover elsewhere etc.Expect also to have to prove this.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

5 is a bit snarky but correct, the answer to the question in 4 was already there in 3Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
