A brake Disc(not Disk) is simply a consumable part, Seems far to much messing about on here. Its a simple task, get and jack the car up remove the road wheels and unbolt the calipers and carriers from the car. Push or twist the pistons back into the calipers, Knock the old discs off from the hubs. Replace with cleaned new discs, refit the carrier. Push the new pads into the caliper with some copper grease, refit and drive carefully for a week or so. Its only about an hour or max 2 hours job.0

I wonder why is there a customer demand for garages then and vocational qualifications for fitters and mechanics? Ill just ask the kids to do them in future, thanks for the great advice. Instead of a jack, would their lego be ok , would it be safe enough or should they use mechano ?The greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0 -

The first garage was Halfords auto centre

If you’d said it was Halfords in the first place you would have got the advice you were looking for. When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on0 -

Oh, your that guy. Any way look at the brakes and you'll know. You could even do it when you do your weekly tyre pressure checks if your alloys allow. But you wont.
Computer tells me when I need air - I just doesn't say how much to put in , luckily I have run flats so no need for any air , they work fine without it and stops me getting speeding points - bonus. The greatest prediction of your future is your daily actions.0 -
