    Hi all,
I've today received a letter from Resolvecall on behalf of Arrow Global Ltd relating to what must be a very old debt as I have no recollection of it, nor does it show on my credit file.
The letter states that if I don't call them within 7 days an agent will visit my house.
What's the best step for me to take next? Any help appreciated. The debt is only £228, so not a huge amount of money.

Send them a "proveit" letter.  The template is in the link below:

Thanks for your help on the above.

I've now had a letter from Arrow telling me they're "looking in to the matter" and to direct all correspondence to ResolveCall.

Any advice on what to do next, or should I just wait? I assume I won't hear from ResolveCall during this time? I haven't since the initial letter they sent.

Nothing, just wait and see what comes through the post.
Resolve call are just 3rd party collectors, who will, with any luck, be out of buisness in a few weeks as they are currently unable to do what their clients ask of them, aka knocking on doors.

This whole covid-19 thing has thrown a massive spanner in the works of virtually everyone, and everything in this country right now, you may get computer generated letters and stuff, but the reality is a lot of places are not going to be able to function correctly for months, some may not see it through, forget what has gone before, this is a new ball game entirly, the results of which are far from clear yet.

    Hey Sourcrates,

Just following up on this - they obviously ignored my letter(s) to them back in April as I've had an exact copy of their first letter to me through the post again.

Should I just repeat the first steps you recommended as before?

If you go to the provit letter in the stickies, and keep scrolling down, there is a second letter to send if they ignore your dispute, send them that.

  • So, I sent the letter of complaint, had a response to say they were looking in to it and the outcome is...

They've sent me a cheque for £75 as full & final settlement of my complaint. Is this a ruse? I wasn't expecting this!

Sorry, just to clarify on my last post - they have sent me a cheque to cash for myself. Not a cheque for payment to them.

I'd cash it. What exactly do they say?

Do they still think you owe them money?

I assume not, the letter says:
Further to our recent correspondence, please find enclosed a cheque issued in full and final settlement of your complaint.
