Hi, I didn't see in your article on how to save on your water bill, any mention of the HelpU scheme. Fortunately a friend informed me of this a few months ago. I don't know if its just local or national. I had already received a discount because I applied for a meter but there wasn't a suitable place to fit one, so was paying £280 per year, I then applied for HelpU which gives discounts to people on a low income (which I believe was under £15000) and received a further discount of around £80 for the year. I should imagine most pensioners could benefit from this. There is also a similar scheme for electric.
