Hello every body, I have been reading at quite a few forums and the newbies section but I am still struggling to see how I can solve this issue.
I have gotten two parking notices from f1rst parking charges and I chose to ignore them. Although now after several national debt collection Ltd letter later I have recieved a letter on dcbl which looks a bit more serious and they are looking aksing for £160.
Is there anything I can do? Or do I just carry on ignoring them.
Please any help would be great.
Thanks you

I was being sarcastic
DCBL are debt collectors , this has nothing to do with sherriffs and cant pay wont pay , just like all the rest they are on commission , if you do not pay , they hand case back , DCBL cannot take you to court , only the parking co or there solisitors0 -
Haha OK, yes the debt collectors won't do anything, but at this stage and having not replied to any letter so far, is there anything I should do? Or just carry on ignoring them. The parking company is f1rst parking. Thanks0

Get your MP on board. On 18th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these private parking companies. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, and persistent offenders denied access. Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers.
Until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Hello, would I need to contact the mp on my.local area where I live or the mp in the area of which I got the ticket?
Also is there any templates that you may know off for me to write to the mp as a complaint regarding this issue.
And also what benefit would complain to the mp get me?
Thank you very much for the help so far.0 -
I'd write to your own MP in the first instance - (I think some) MPs don't like it when people from outside their constituencies write to them - and mention that this also affects another constituency: yours should then share the letter with their colleague (at least, ime, a good MP will).0

Thank you for your advice, however I am not very clued up on what exactly I should write to my mp?0

I would prefer to just ignore them and for them to go away as I don't want to be taken to court0
