What a lovely post to read from dp1!

My day has been long and mostly happy. When I visited DM this morning she was bright, alert, perky and content. First happy moment of the day. It took such a weight off my shoulders. I am convinced that being in a six bay room, as opposed to a single room, is much better for recuperating patients as the stimulation is important - even just a bit of people watching is good for the spirt (Holly!).

Then I drove to my home, almost 100 miles each way. Tons of traffic and at least six sets of roadworks after Balloch, however I did enjoy the feeling of going somewhere other than DM's house and a hospital. I only stopped at home long enough to fill up the bird feeders, collect my post, scoop up some contact lenses and forget to take my dirty washing out of the machine to bring back.

After another long trip back I called in at Gartnavel again. DM was in bed this time, just as bright and perky and doing a crossword. Another happy moment!

The post brought me a jury summons for June. In Dunoon - about 70 miles from my home and a ferry ride from DM's. I have to respond within seven days - no date on the summons so I have no idea when it was sent, I have other things to stress about so will do the online thing tomorrow.

All in all - a good day! I have read every post though am too tired to make any coherent response. :p

Oooh I did Jury Summons a few weeks ago - I was Foreman and got to stand up at the end. I was very happy as it was on my "bucket list".... seems a bit far though....mine was a 1 hour bus ride into the city...
    The game's afoot....

It's the nearest Sheriff's Court to where I live. With a bit of luck and a fair wind I'll not be needed.
