There is none, even in England - BS reporting!Currently, private parking firms can only recover money from the person who parks the vehicle on their land and, unlike in England, there is no obligation for the owner to reveal the identity of the driver.
Maybe the 'charge for service' should be borne by the car park owner, after all it is they who receive the service. Let's see how many are so keen to let the PPCs loose on their customers, clients, patients if they have to buy the service ......“This has never been about denying that well-regulated car parking operators have the right to charge for a service that they provide, but the industry realise that certain rogue operators have dragged their reputation down and that they have to change.”Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
