Morning. Bit muddled this morning...but sun is almost shining, trip to the hospital will happen, can't leave it much longer. Will get some flowers as a thank you for the woman across the road who got me chocolates a card and a potted plant about a month ago to say get well soon. Might go and have a wander around a garden center....

Sowed some more seeds yesterday, some sweet peas, and forgot to look through the recycling for toilet rolls for beans or sweetcorn, missed the recycling last week because it was so windy I didn't want to put the boxes out because I see everyone else's moving down the street, so there should be a few in there.
Did a bit of pot rearranging, looked at the garden and thought about it, didn't move anything though, am having real trouble deciding on a way to go this time. Normally I'm all guns blazing away we go, maybe I need some inspiration...Didn't move anything Holly :)

Glad to hear your mother is getting more positive Gers, and that you had done a bit of self-care...Nelski, snap on the carrier bags..I use them for bin bags too but there are so many that aren't the right size, won't fit in the bin etc that they just build up and up even though I don't usually have any because I also have a bootful of shopping bags...Looks like some people just attract that kind of stuff...Holly, did you go back to the support group at all? Gintot, hope it goes well for your OH today. Hope everyone is having a good a day as possible, and a Happy Birthday to Camelot!
    Wotcha absentees for whatever reason.
    Mind-blowing Monday!

Just had a call to say that DM is now being moved to the orthodpeadic rehab ward of a different hospital - such good news!

    :j

BTW - I fold my plastic carrier bags into samosas. Much easier to store and then pop into handbag.

    Hello all
We have been out this morning as Mr Fix it needed some sanding paper so I took the opportunity to do a top up shop of milk, bread and fruit on the way home. I was going to start on the bathroom this morning so he scuppered my plans :(. Anyway I shall prep it this afternoon and I need him to take down the cabinet, then I can have a clear start tomorrow.
My face is still hurting so I have gone on to anti inflams as the painkillers weren't working very well. I hope they are working for Nelski and OL . I can stand any amount of pain as long as it doesn't hurt :rotfl:.
I have to do a bit of freezer tetris this afternoon as I can't get my spare loaf of bread in . I don't understand as I took out a joint of pork and a loaf this weekend, but can't now shoehorn a new loaf back in :rotfl:.
Righty ho, I will have a snack lunch then crack on with the bathroom. I am determined to do it this week.
Gintot I hope everything is going well today. Hugs xx
ScarlettR and TA thank you both for your thoughts on a slow cooker for the van. I hadn't thought about where I would keep it if not in use , so something else to ponder on now.
Camelot Happy birthday, have a lovely day. Hope you have room for more cake :D:D :bdaycake:
Organza Lace I have the opposite problem with having bloods taken. My arm only has to see the needle and it starts spurting :rotfl:
Gers hope your DM picks up soon.
    Poppy thinking of you.
taff get yourself to the hospital. There that's you told :D. Enjoy the garden centre my friend.
Rosyred hope you can get the car sorted. It's rotten luck that it was your car that was hit :(.

Sending healing vibes to all the poorlies and hugs to anyone struggling today.
    Take care all.

    nan xx
PS I too forgot to welcome the new posters, apologies. Arty please come back and play !

Nelski I'm sad about the pjs.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Happy Birthday Camelot hope you have a fabulous day and get thoroughly spoilt :)

Gers good that your DM is feeling more upbeat ,a tough cookie these weegies :)

Re blood tests, as my veins in my arms collapsed because of the knitting-like chemo injections now they use 'baby needles' to extract my blood .These are dinky wee things like butterfly clip and I don't feel a thing. Last op. I had, they had to go in with the anesthesia via my ankle as the Dr. couldn't find a suitable vein big enough :) but it worked as I conked out in less than five seconds :)

Sun is out today but its still a bit breezy, just awaiting my DGS henry to come in from school as he makes a lovely cuppa :)

Hope everyone is okay and surviving the weekend :)

Over half way through March already the year is whizzing by

    Cheers chums

DM wasn't moved by 1p.m., she was sitting in the discharge lounge so I zoomed down and sat with her. Seems that the morning ambulance didn't wait for her so she had to wait until 2p.m. That's four hours!

Anyway, I sat with her for an hour and chatted to her. She's now in the new hospital ward, a six bay room, and will probably sleep away the day.

On the way home I called in to see Dippy - eventually. He's been seen by more than 250,000 people since the end of January. Whilst there I had a bowl of soup and a sandwich.

Now it's time for a tiny wee small snooze. :rotfl:

Helllo. I have dipped in and out of here for a while (I joined over a decade ago but got locked out so had to rejoin etc) but have let things slide on that front. I am now in need of some mental support with people I can tell my finances to - when you have a friend who spends £150 a week at Sainsbury's on two people it's not going to be a supportive conversation LOL So....I'm back here, skint as a skint thing even with trying to be old style..... Not at all helped by having to take somebody to court for monies owed - I do a music festival, last year our bar/food vendors made a hash of it all 'round then refused to pay me their owing monies of £5.5k as they hadn't taken enough! Meanwhile all the bills/bands etc had to be paid. I've been quite poorly this year and work for myself so spent January mostly in bed so no money in there. Two weeks Jury Service impacted February as well so..... like I said, skint as a skint thing. I'm very good at budgeting and the fact I have £5 in my purse to last the month doesn't bother me as I know I can do it but I do need a bit of a gee up at times.... sorry about the monologue LOL
    The game's afoot....
