When buying, living room; Carpet or Wooden flooring??

Options
Which would be your preference?

I want carpets, my partner wants wooden or vinyl flooring, for it being “practical”

I personally prefer a carpet, the feeling, makes the lounge more cosy feeling.

When buying, what would you prefer?

I actually have tiles in my living room with loose rugs over (OH's idea, not mine!)
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Wood floor throughout here, but plenty of rugs on top.

    Each to their own though
