I do think you are worrying too much. You have the signed receipt from Royal Mail so you can prove you sent it. They are enormous forms, but it is a good idea to keep a copy as its good to be able to refer to them if you need to do an MR.
The Wolverhampton address is a main sorting office for the DWP. I have been told it can take up to two weeks to open and log in post.
You would be well advised to wait a while. A miracle might have happened and it might have started its way through the system, but it probably hasn't gotten too far yet.
Leave it for another week at least til you phone.0 -

Thank you , yep I agree my nerves have got the better of me.. worrying too much.. I have since learned however, that anyone who has sent their ESA50, can email these people, https://www.chdauk.co.uk/contact-us
They are the centre for health advisory service in other words, maximus!
I sent them an email and photo copy of the signed siganture from royal mail, to confirm my ESA50, form. I am glad I did this as they do mention in their FAQ, reasons for not sending forms in after deadline. At least this way, I also have proof of an email sent for confirmation. I should here back in a couple of days. I am glad I didn't ring the dwp, Its the assessment centre I learned today, are the people to contact first as its them who do the assessments and where my ESA50 is sent.
Many thanks everyone who replied. Will update soon.0 -
Good afternoon peeps!
All is well. Centre for health, received my ESA50 onto their system on the 16th March. Just waiting for assessment now. They do reply within two working days.0
