Good morning peeps, hope your all doing well.
Its been awhile since I came here and just wondering if any of you lovely peeps can help me.
I sent my ESA off to the address on envelope. The forwarding address is Centre for health and assessment , a mailing address at Wolverhampton. I live in London.
What happens to my claim form then. I Sent the form recorded delivery and was received at. 5.44am and signed for on the 13th March. The deadling is 22nd. I know they send out a reminder about 3 weeks which I got from the post dated the 13th March too. Should I be ringing my nearest Jobcentre to check if they recieved it. There is a phone number to ring to find out who my local Jobcentre is. The reminder states to ignore letter if already sent in the past few days.
I guess I am a bit worried, in case who ever i speak to says they havent recieved it. My daughter says I am panicking.
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated and many thanks in advance.

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0

Thanks for that link Alice,
I was mostly worried because i received a reminder letter on the same day they recieved my ESA that perhaps when I do ring, they can't find my ESA. I am just wondering, even though the ESA has been signed for, should I still ring to cofirm that they have got it, just to make sure please.
And if they havent got it, would they accept a photo copy of the ESA FORM, should I have to resend again before the deadling, 22nd march. I already have the mailing address for Wolverhampton.

The reminder letter you received would have been automatically sent days before you even sent your form back.
You should ring DWP if you want to check it's been received and not your local job centre.0 -
Thanks for your reply Poppy, I don't know the telephone number for the DWP, I think I am getting confused now. I thought the job centre were the DWP. would it be the assessment centre at wolverhampton as you said not the job centre please. My form has been received and signed for but just not sure who to phone to confirm. I have free phone number on the reminder, as well as the orginal letter. The reminder states, please contact jobcentre plus that deals with claim by ring this free number. I think I will ring tommorrow. Not sure if Jobcentre will have my details of the ESA from the assessment centre at wolverhampton yet though.

ESA and ‘new style’ ESA helpline
Telephone: 0800 169 0310
Textphone: 0800 169 0314
Also, to help the helpline, call the form an ESA50 rather than just ESA because that's confusing, 80% of forms start with ESA followed by a number.
Also, Jobcentre is the front office, it is part of DWP, DWP is the owning department of all the front office and back office infrastructure.0 -
Thanks Poppy, found the local jobcentre number from the gov website. That free phone telephone number gives you the phone number for your local jobcentre plus number if you can get through to speak to someone. Instead of me going around in circles, I found the number for the office dealing with my claim and area. For anyone who has the same issues, just pop along to the gov website and enter your post code, it will give the number of the office who is dealing with your claim instead of ringing the free phone number, which will only give you the phone number for your local jobcentre plus.
Sorry for the confusion everyone.. Haven't had a re assessment since 2012 so a bit wobbly knowing what to do.
Many thanks.0 -

Thanks sportsarb, what a good idea, the automated system is all new to me, and I thinks its a really good idea, to say, ESA50, instead of ESA. . I phoned that number several times, and didnt get through. My daughter didnt get through either. So I will try my luck at local jobcentre plus, which is the number they would have given me anyway.
What a run around. its been ages ,since I have done this and things have changed or so it seems all those years ago.
I have paniced a bit, because I dont want them to stop my payments, because they havent got my ESA FORM. I know some stories of peoplel sending off their form in good time, signed for and still get told it wasn't received. Lets hope this is not the case for me.
Great advice peeps, thanks.0 -
Did you confirm they had it?
Btw, recorded delivery doesn’t exist no more, it’s signed for.0 -

Afternoon all,
MarkN88, I got the receipt with the tracking number, so entered it on the roayal mail website. My form was recieved at Wolverhampton on at. 5.44 am on the 13th signed for. I printed off a copy of the signed signature . Didnt know recorded delivery didnt exist anymore, out of date arent I.
My daughter said I should ring tomorrow, as has been adviced here too. I was having a look at the annual ESA we get every year for dates starting in April, and my came in last week for my ESA from Wolverhampton. I think I read somewhere on here, can't really remember where, to check if my next payment goes through on the 28th March, if not then they didn't get my form even though I have proof of posting, and copy of signature.
Will ring tomorrow, just to check. Hope someone can tell me if they got it.0
