Hi
i am just wanting to know if anyone else has had trouble with British Gas home care we thought these would be a reliable company and the price was not bad.,We had our annual service in December as usual. To cut a long story short we have had them out numerous times (smelling gas, boiler not working) eventually after the second visit from transco our gas was capped off as boiler was leaking gas and carbon monoxide.
They had all been checking with their testers at the bottom of the boiler, when the boiler had a hole in at the top with a bung in.this hole is apparently there to allow access to a part. Buderus 600 boiler(condensing)
We have obviously raised a complaint as myself and family have been ill since the boiler was serviced apparently it turns out the seals were perished hence the leak.Should these have been checked during our annual service.??

It is frighting, when you use what you think is a large company you expect them to be competent and trustworthy.0
