I did direct you to read the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread, from which you will know that you will get a court claim, can defend it locally and likely win at no risk whatsoever.

You can buy 30 days to await your SAR if you reply to the firm who sent the LBC by email and tell them that you are 'seeking debt advice' and that you require the case to be put on hold as per the pre-action protocol for debt claims.

They have to put it on hold for anyone seeking debt advice*.

Come back when you get a claim form, to show us the defence like everyone else who reads the NEWBIES thread 2nd post does. Read some threads, you will see what everyone manages to do and NO-ONE has experience of it, they are all like you, and 99% win.

And what a life experience to tell friends & family about when you prevail!

    :)

    * I am not telling you to seek any advice except here on this forum, BTW! No ringing the CAB or any other clueless person.

Thanks coupon mad, I really appreciate your help and "grounding" me. I shall attempt to buck my ideas up and put my big boy pants on
I shall write my email for bwlegal tonight and await the next step.
