Upgrade a laptop with Crucial

My sil has an Aspire ES 13 series laptop
Although only about two years old it's very slow.
I checked on Crucial looking for an upgrade which would ditch the HDD and replace with a SSD.
She uses it only for surfing so she doesn't need the 1 Tb HDD storage.
Unfortunately 'Crucial' didn't show any upgrade of the HDD to SSD.
Does that mean it can't be upgraded???
I see on youtube that some laptops can be upgraded by changing the DVD thingy to SSD and keep the HDD.
I'm not techie but would probably ask someone who knows to upgrade to an SSD if it's possible.
Anyone any ideas???

What Google gives me when I type Acer Aspire ES 13 is a laptop with no drive, only a 32GB flash drive. It doesn't show any 1TB drives.
What's the full model number?0 -
Thanks for asking.

This specification suggests the laptop has a 5,400 RPM 1 TB hard disk.
Have you tried using Crucial's "Run our scanner tool to find compatible SSD & DRAM upgrades" tool on the laptop?

EDIT: I tried just entering "Aspire ES1-332" for Acer in the search box on Crucial's site and some "Compatible SSD for Acer Aspire ES1-332 (2.5-inch Drive)" options came up:

If you run the Crucial scanner tool, it will show what they can offer you.
Crucial include a download link to Acronis True Image and a video showing how to easily clone the HDD to their SSD. Some will suggest a clean install, but on those I’ve cloned, the speedup was significant and the upgrade easy.
If you go down the cloning route, you will need a USB caddy.
Note, you don’t have to match drive sizes. If you have only used 80GB on the HDD, you could clone the contents to a 128, 250 or larger SSD. Obviously don’t forget to leave room for upgrades and future expansion.0 -
As long as you have a 2.5" SATA drive already installed, don't worry too much about what Crucial says.0

Works fine; https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-es1-332-(2*5-inch-drive)
In addition, the device has a maintenance hatch. So swapping the drive should take around five minutes.
Create the installation media before swapping the drive; https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
Download the Tool, have a blank USB Flash drive of at least 8GB ready.
Choose;
Using the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) to install Windows 10 on a different PC0 -

Thanks to all.
I did try the Crucial scan before I posted this subject but no SSD upgrade was shown.
Anyway with the info from Grumpy crab and some stuff I've seen on youtube I think I'll buy the SSD and upgrade for my sil. It's your money. Except if it's the governments.0 -

But it is strange I've just scanned the laptop with the Crucial scanner and I get this message:
'
We’re sorry.
