You will need to and because they have to comply with data protection send a copy of your V5 ... proves who you are
NO PHONE NUMBER otherwise you might get cretins like DRP pester you.

Remember a SAR is requesting information relating to ......

    Okay thank you!

I apologise for all the questions. :)

My V5 is being sent off to the DVLA today as it has my previous address on, is it still worth sending them even with my old address?

    Don't apologise

The V5 RELATES to the charge they sent to your address.
That's what they got from the DVLA

No point in given known scammers any further info

Okay thanks, so do or don’t send them a copy to smart parking of the v5?

I have never received any letters from smart parking (I presume they have sent to old address on V5), only DRP, is it still worth sending a SAR letter to Smart Parking?

@OP read, read and read some more!!, learn as much as you can about the game you are now involved in and don't fall for their BS. Time for fightback mode.

Yes as said, normal DRP utter rubbish and you don't owe £170, it's just DRP adding on a fake charge.

You can quickly see that DRP live in the clouds about the Beavis case because this was about ....

BEAVIS v PARKING EYE in the Supreme Court
Often, these powerless debt collectors make reference
to the Parking Eye/Supreme court case ? They seem to
think that this is the key for them to extort money from
    you.
Barry Beavis took Parking Eye to court because he claimed
the charges were unfair. The court said they were ... and
that was it. So unless you are claiming that the charge
was unfair, the Supreme court decision has no bearing
on you and it's yet more rubbish that debt crawlers use

Therefore in your SAR you refer to your previous address with the ticket number and advise them of your new address for future reference and request confirmation
