Orange going to stop 12 month contract from February?

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=693708
This is being rumoured in the trade press. A tariff refresh will take place next Feb, and at that point they will no longer offer the 12 months option.

To be honest, VERY few people ask for a 12 month contract anyway as they don't come with the "unlimited" benefits.

What are your views on this?

I'd like to see data added into the monthly tariffs.

not surprising, this month they took it out of the magazines said last year less than (it was either 1 or 5%) of connections were 12m,
not suprised think it will hurt cashback deals mainly (have a feeling majority of 12m customers were from cashbacks) and a lot of customers orange let upgrade a lot earlier than 18m anyway
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D

Ye right!!!! because we all would rather be tied into 25 year mortgage type mobile contracts... NOT!

I have just come to the end of my first 18 month contract and to be honest I will never commit to over 12 months again. I would rather take the hit on PAYG than be stuck into such a lengthy contract again.

    This was just a rumour.

    February came and went.

You can still get 12 month contracts at Orange.
