    How are they communicating this with you? Via solicitors? Estate agents? Ringing you direct?
    Letter?


    I'd be inclined to ignore completely unlss/until there'sa formal claim made (eg 'Letter Before action').


    At most, a one sentence response 'I was not aware of any dampfloorboard'.


    Do NOT get into dialogue, explanations, justifications, excuses.
