Delivered freezing cold rock hard pizza by Uber Eats - flat out refuse to refund

I know this might seem like a small amount (approx £20) but the principle has left me seething.
I ordered a Pizza (and other bits) on Sunday through Uber Eats, which arrived stone cold. Reheating was no use (as it was a sourdough pizza) - it just went tough and chewy. I contacted Uber Eats immediately. After a while of back and forth, with me quoting various legislations (Consumer Rights Act 2015, Distance Selling Regulations), they confirmed they're "just a marketplace, therefore not subject to UK legislations" and refuse flat out to offer me a refund. In their latest communications, they implied if I do a bank chargeback, they will block my account (which I don't mind), and that they're now closing down all communication between us.
I've attached the relevant communications here:

Should I just call this a learning experience and let them get away with it, and take the hit? Or do I have any leg to stand on?
I've contacted the restaurant directly and they're ignoring me completely too. I feel like I've been completely conned and there's nothing I can do about it

Thanks - it's only £20, so will write it off. I wrote on social media but they don't care - I left them a public post on Facebook and I think they deleted it.0

Well, how far do you want to take it? If its a national chain, write to their head office. If its a local indy, then write to them with a LBA and give them 7 days to respond (and CC in Enviro health). Then take them to small claims court.
Its not helpful the fact they ignore you, you could politely point this out and that, if needed, they can hear your complaint in court.

Put it down to experience.0 -
