these rooms are fine generally when families use them and the adults are in the main room and kids in the wee room...
I can't see many details and the best description just mentions two single beds.
Your disappointment is based on an assumption you made that the second room would suit 2 adults and a baby and, as the payer you would get the master..0 -
Thanks all - sometimes you just need somebody else’s input to help direction!
The fact the second bedroom wasn’t shown - or described - would this count as misrepresentation by omission perhaps? I certainly wouldnt have been happy having to stay in that ‘bedroom’ after I’d paid out my hard earned cash for the holiday, and obviously it was impossible for my daughter, son in law and baby to stay in. So i had to pay out more money for a room nearby for the family and I stayed alone in the main bedroom in the villa - completely defeating the whole point of us all being together and grandma helping out with the grandson! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. It may not have been what you expected but the logical thing to do would be let your daughter and family have the main bedroom and you take the little room. Probably could have put one of the beds down maybe to make some more space. I appreciate this may not be what you were expecting but you would have all been together. I guess the company would argue there was no real need for you to shell out for another room. The room is small but you're only sleeping in there.0

But you did still get your holiday. Everything else was ok and you were together as a family which was the objective of going away. As I said, I can appreciate the disappointment but you probably would have been better to just chalk it down to experience and make the best of it. A few years ago I booked a neat apartment in London with a river view. When we arrived we were "upgraded" (a scam - the river view apartment never existed) to a flat on the Isle of Dogs. We were disappointed but we made the best of it. There was no one to complain to really, and even if they did find us somewhere else, we didn't feel like packing up and moving again with the kids. I did manage to extract a "free weekend" voucher from them in the end but never actually used it. One of those things - but we still had a great week.0 -
I agree with the OP it is inadequately described. It is reasonable to expect a bedroom in a ‘luxury’ villa to have more space.
I think the “luxury” description is a word the OP used. I don’t believe it is a descriptive word used by the hotel or On The Beach for this complex.

I’ll change this.
I agree with the OP it is inadequately described. It is reasonable to expect a bedroom in a four star villa to have more space.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
How much compensation are you after?0

QUOTING THE WEBSITE:
"We offer our guests great villas with two bedrooms ... Every room has air conditioning, TV LCD, safety deposit box, microwave and private bathroom with bath tub, hairdryer and free amenities."
https://www.eurostarshotels.co.uk/eurostars-las-salinas/rooms.html
If the small second room did not have these facilities and you needed to stay elsewhere as a result, then you may have a claim on that basis?
I think they've mis-described the villa rooms with a copy-and-paste from the other types of rooms.

The OP did not book direct with the hotel they booked via On The Beach. It is the description on the On The Beach website that applies.0 -

I agree with this - perhaps as the OP had paid the rest of the family were reluctant to suggest it, but it does seem that it would have been the most sensible way round the problem.0
