The qwerty keypad on a P1i has two characters per button - so it's not a full qwerty keypad. Not sure if you have to get used to this but it does seem strange.
    The man without a signature.
  • Does it have the keyboard that most phones use...?

    1 = abc, 2 = def, etc etc...?

Just weighing up my options before 02 fob me off...

I've got the predecessor to the P1 - the P910i - fantastic phone.
    I'd love a P1

You don't have to use the stylus, most of the features can be accessed with the jog dial or the keypad.

The QWERTY keypad takes a bit of getting used to but it's not that bad once you've got the hang of it.
  • Reliable reviw here: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/reviews/item/Sony_Ericsson_P1i-part_1_design_and_hardware.php

note, although the P1i has the Symbian OS, N95 S60 software won't work, you need UIQ. I think it's a good phone, but as always, it's horses for courses.
  • I've got one and I think it's the dogs danglies.

Rocker type keys are very easy to get used to, you get a spare stylus and mine came with the wayfinder Sat Nav pack (you have to download the software) but you get the bluetooth GPS reciever & registration code.

You also get a lovely suede pouch to keep it in.

All in all, I am very very happy with it - but you might have guessed that!

Learn from the mistakes of others - you won't live long enough to make them all yourself.
  • I'm still pushing for the SE K850i tho...
  • They will give me the SE K850i. But want to charge me £59.99. !!!!!!!

I'd already paid £89.99 for the N95 as an upgrade in June. So now, i'm having to pay again for the phone I want as my original phone I wanted was crap and broke 5 times!

I've not finished moaning to 02 yet.............

    *wants a frebie...*
