    Mornin'all from mehefinland
    Wet and windy

Not a happy bunny as had a minor prang at a notorious set of traffic lights in our local town yesterday morning. Brightly reversed to let a coach make a difficult turn and failed to notice the car that had pulled out of the junction behind me :eek:it wasn't there when I stopped. No damage to mine and only a light scratch on the other car. Now it turns out it is leased on Motobility and we have to go through the claims process although we had agreed to settle it ourselves. As a result my no claims goes from 11yrs to 3 which is rotten luck as the repair was only going to cost about £200. Teach me to look behind me more closely.
Didn't have the best night even with the help of some liberally applied fall over juice :rotfl:
Now just got soaked walking Sallydog, the milk has turned and I burnt my toast.. Think I'll write off this week and go back to bed:D

Compared to what some of you lot go through what am I moaning about (applies foot of correction to seat of learning).

Happy Birthday TA and I think you made the right decision yesterday.

Hugs and spoons to those in need, Might go to see if the girls are ready to come back in yet as its persisting down and blowing a hooly here.

Morning all! Snored like a train last night apparetly, in a much louder way than usual [ thank you PKs - tried them fo a couple of days because of popping feelings in arm - will reduce to half tablet and experiment some more] This morning I had an itchy chest, but scratching it did absolutely nothing because it was on the scar and I couldn't feel a thing! Most odd.
So today is sow seeds for toms, chillies and lettuce and rocket for cut and come again. And plant up some bulbs I found in the G House, think they are tulips but I'm not sure, they could be daffs...They're already growing so if I don't plant them, they'll just dry out and collapse.
Captain Marvel is on the cards for this afternoon too - using up 2 of my my freebie vouchers, then still have 2 left.

SO, does it already have the hole in it? If it does, put some bits of stone or terracotta pot if you have any around it and on top of it to keep it from blocking up. WHatever you put in there might look a bit disgruntled fter afew years so top it up with compost or feed or something every year :)
Speky, OOO, date went well then!it removed ability to read labels by the looks of it :) snoozer, I bought a msk with replaceble charcoal filters, cost about a tenner and it was a bit hit and miss though, one time i didn't catch the cold, one time I did...so you can't really protect him from everything, just make sure that you use the anti bac gel and don't cough in his face , that's all you can do...Nelski, take care! Mehefin, that sounds like most of my weeks...heres hoping it gets better...Holly, you must have needed it, go easy...OL, hoe the doctors goes OK, and they sort you out with e's and whizz.....camelot, get the arnica out....sounds owie....Gers, hope your mum is doing better.

And finally, Happy Birthday TA, may your day be merry and bright!

    Good morning,

TA hope you enjoy your birthday treat, sounds lovely :bdaycake:xx
Snoozer, hope everything goes well for Laura :), and that the injections are ok

Mehefin- I've also got drenched dogwalking.Commiserations on the bump.
Gers hoping for a better day for DM.
    OL sorry about youngests job

I'm not going anywhere today, the weather is so bad there isnt much point when I don't actually need to,stayed in yesterday too and did some family history with the log burner roaring away.I hope there is some kindling left in the basket,I don't fancy going chopping any outside. The anti flooding/waterlogging measures that were done on the park a few months ago don't seem to have worked very well apart from it doesnt get as near to the road and run down ours but there were several 'lakes' on there- the gulls and other birds were having a whale of a time this morning .
Nelski I'm doing a James recipe for tea tonight, ;) it has chicken &parma ham sat on a flageolet bean salad.
Not sure how it'll go down with the menfolk but SisIL made it for DH and myself when we went for tea a while back and he said he liked it.
Stay safe and warm everyone xx

Happy Birthday TA, I hope you have a good day.

    Snoozer, lovely news!

I've had a shower, I swear the rain outside was heavier than the shower indoors.

OL I don't think we ever stop worrying, do we.

Mehefin, it may have been a minor bump but still very annoying.

Morning all from a very soggy S.E Wales :(.
Didn't sleep well last night and watched the clock go round till 3.30am, as usual thinking about all sorts.
I didn't find the paint so it looks like I will have to buy some, but I did find lots of decorating goodies that I had forgotten about. Won't need to buy any brushes/ rollers / dust sheets or scrapers for a while .
Today I plan to dust the office and tidy up Mr Fix It's books, it looks like he's been rummaging through his. Mine on the other hand are tidy and in alphabetic order as old habits die hard :rotfl: Meanwhile Mr Fix It is in holiday mode and trying to work out how and when we can fit in our hols this year. I'll leave him sort that out and I'll just do the packing :D.
Tea tonight will be a beef burger in a bun with salad.

TA happy birthday my friend. I hope you enjoy the whole day with your family. Here's more cake :bdaycake::bdaycake:
Camelot I hope you are feeling a bit better after your tumble.
Mehefin ouch to the car and the NCB loss. I often have weeks like yours too :(

Stay safe if you are travelling today. I shall get the hug bucket up and running, as it seems there are lots of lovely people on here who are in need. I am also sending healing vibes to all the poorly people, including the DM's, DH's and children of all ages who are under the weather.
    Take care

    nan xx

    Afternoon all,

Cold here and windy , to hospital with OH this morning to have his blood levels checked, then for breakfast as usual, porridge with fruit and honey for me, ham salad roll for OH.....we never seem to change, the porridge is lovely so doubt if I will change my choice any time soon.

Happy birthday TA, think you did the right thing about the funeral yesterday..Have a great day today.

Gers.....hope that DM improves, hips can be dodgy..

OL, any news of health of your daughter in SA?

    Hugs to all

    Afternoon!

After a close look at the weather forecast I changed my plans. I cancelled my hospital appointment and drove straight home this morning. On the way I had two things to drop off before going to collect my post and fill up the bird feeders. Now I'm back in Glasgow all safe and sound. Storm Gareth is just beginning to be felt so I made it in good time.

Amongst the pile of post was the invitation to apply for my SP! it's official, I'll soon be an OAP.

DM seems to be a bit better. The friend rang me from the ward to report and DM sent me a text earlier so perhaps a good corner has been turned.

Commiserations to those who have had accidents, rotten days, pains, problems or illness.

TA Happy Birthday, hope you’ve had a good day.
Snoozer - lovely news about Laura, sometimes you have to walk away from a job that doesn’t make you happy so think Laura has done the right thing. Hope you soon feel better.
Speky - glad the date went well.
OL - I think we always worry about our kids no matter how old they are.
Nelski - I was in Leyland visiting family over the weekend, weather was awful.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care
