Hi Coupon Mad,
Thanks for your advice, I shall give it a go and report back to you.
Thanks for your help, it is really appreciated!0 -
Hi Coupon Mad,
I spoke to the manager and they have asked me to come in and talk to them about the parking ticket and to bring along the parking fine. The manager did seem to be suggesting that they would rescind the ticket however, before entering this meeting, is there anything I need to know? Anything I should avoid saying?
Thanks0 -
All you need to know is that you cannot afford to continue shopping there if the bill has £100 added to it every time because you were held up at checkout.............0

Hi Everyone,
I finally was able to speak to the manager of the store about the parking ticket an hour ago with no luck. I made the point that I cannot afford to shop there if I get a parking ticket, his response was along the lines of, "they're a private company and pay for the cameras through the parking charges and cannot rescind the ticket unless it was a serious emergency". I pressed the manager for well over 15 minutes but he did not budge. How would you recommend that I proceed next?
Any help is really appreciated!0 -
Aldi's CEO, complain to them.
Point out very clearly that this situation has now become downright ridiculous. Not only do you, a student, now face a hefty and completely unfair surcharge on your shopping, but you also face the ordeal of court proceedings to which has been added, for no reason whatsoever, a total waste of your time by the store manager.
And all because of an honest mistake while (foolishly as it now seems to you as there are plenty of other places to shop) simply shopping in ASDA!!!
Write it better than me. Be polite. But be as angry as me and insist on cancellation.
Also, how much do you live on a year? Not suggesting you tell us, but given how tight finances are for students, I'd tell the CEO.0 -

There are no cases that we are aware of where PE has reverted to court action after farming out the case to a debt collector beforehand.
I also get the strong impression that Asda are not keen (maybe not willing) for PE to sue their customers through the court. I've yet to see such an Asda case go that way, and PE have been operating at Asda over great swathes of the country for around 3 years now.
While no one can guarantee anything in this game, I don't think this will go further than just general hassling letters, but do come back on this thread if you get a Letter Before Claim from PE (not from DRP - they can't send one), or real court papers via MCOL.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Dear All,
Just an update on the situation. I emailed the CEO and received a response that they would look into it with the local manager. Having thought this sorted, I was surprised to receive a letter through the post box from a firm called Equita? This letter again recommended they will ask Parking Eye to take me to court.
Can anyone recommend to me on how I should proceed? How concerned should I be?
Kind Regards,
Ollie0 -

Equita and Parking Eye are old mates
Parking Eye already knows Equita in the parking scam are 100% powerless and useless
Equita are such a joke, if PE wants to do something, they will, without the assistance of a debt collector. JUST IGNORE THEM
But, you should send a copy of the EQUITA letter to the CEO you are talking to so he is well aware of the antices of PE0
