Have you actually read this thread? Please check your meter correctly, and if your meter is correct you can complain about this bill.
OP:
Were you officially told the old meter was reading incorrectly, or is it just your conclusion from the readings given by the new meter?
If it's just your conclusion, I fear it will be hard to prove the old meter (now lost) was wrong.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. £150 per month for gas is still astronomical, are you living in a mansion?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

If the meter has been lost on the way to being tested it can be reviewed on the usage on the new meter. This is smart so your supplier will now have your usage from this (possibly each day) It’s up to them if they will rebill you or not, however we are now in warmer weather so your usage will of decreased so they may refuse.
Meter is now out which is half the battle, you do need it check if the old meter was metric or imperial which you haven’t mentioned previously.0 -
It's not astronomical at all but very much depends on the house & how warm you like to keep it & how many baths or showers you take. We have a large four bed Victorian house with no cavity walls, partial double glazing & good roof insulation but we use about £170 per month of gas in winter. As we can afford it we keep it nice & warm. We could use less gas but then it wouldn't be as comfortable as we like.Blackpool_Saver wrote: »£150 per month for gas is still astronomical, are you living in a mansion?0
