Tried Co op head office
Their customer service didn't really understand saying that the car park isn't their responsibility, although I was trying to make her understand it was the fact that a Co op manager told me they've had loads of customers fall foul of this, and about 18 months after they opened the Co ops landlord took on OPS without even consulting or telling them.0 -

Customer service never seems to work. Did you try the CEO? He's Steve Murrells and that's his email.0 -

As Misty says, straight to the CEO.
The Co-op will pay rent to the landlord. The store will not last long with vermin operating outside0 -
You will be doing a first appeal to get a POPLA code, if you haven't already appealed. Use the template in the NEWBIES thread, no need to change it.
At POPLA stage you will be talking about the lack of signs & markings near the Costa, and the fact that OPS issue predatory CCTV tickets, with no regard paid to the BPA Grace period and the driver's right to read the signs and/or briefly load an item they left behind...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Is this that usual cash cow, site, the Peacehaven South Coast road with the loading bay? If you were in the loading bay, then you appeal to POPLA that you were unloading something in those 4 minutes...I am local and have a pre-written one or two I've done for Brighton people. OPS don't like this sort of appeal, and usually fold!
Submitted Popla appeal last night but that may take a while? Which takes me into the realms of losing the right to pay the lower amount within the next nine days (not that i'd pay it anyway)0 -
Posted appeal last night
But decision will take me past the 25th of this month? when 'right to pay lower amount' kicks in
( not that I was going to anyway)0 -

This is the second time you have mentioned this. If you are not going to pay, why does this concern you?You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
There is some thing I appear to be missing ....
this was not ANPR if pics of driver and teabags is correct. so it must be cctv .... operated by who ? the COOP?
or are the CPC monitoring the site by CCTV ?
How long after the dastardly deed did the first letter to you arrive ?

Can you double check that the signs warn of ANPR and what it will be used for?
The BPA Code of Practice states
21 Automatic number plate recognition (ANPR)
General principles
21.1 You may use ANPR camera technology to manage,
control and enforce parking in private car parks, as long
as you do this in a reasonable, consistent and transparent
manner. Your signs at the car park must tell drivers that
you are using this technology and what you will use the
data captured by ANPR cameras for0 -
I can confirm that this site uses CCTV. OPS take multiple photos of the driver parking, getting out of their vehicle, walking away, returning, getting into their vehicle and driving out of the car park.0
