I am my nephews official appointee and I will write on his behalf. My nephew is a very good lad and he immediately picked the cigerette end up and apologised sincerely. He has learnt his lesson and a £100 fine to a vulnerable person is not a good idea at all.

Do be aware that if they tell him he needs to pay the fine and the time has exceeded 14 days then he could be liable to pay the whole amount.

Thank you. Have decided this will cause too much stress so have paid the fine. Easy money for the Government but this lesson has been learnt and wont be repeated!

If you appeal then the time frame normally stops, but lose the appeal and it starts off from where it was appealed say after 7 days you appeal then that would leave 7 days left to pay if the appeal failed.
