Best Economy 7 Deals (For Electric Vehicle)

Options
Hi All,

I've been struggling to find companies who offer eco7 tariffs. The ones I know of are:

Bulb (Day: 16.50p/kWh Night: 8.61p/kWh)
Ecotricity (Day: 16.60p/kWh Night: 9.72p/kWh)
Octopus (Day: 18.7p/kWh Night: 9.95p/kWh)

I know there are other factors to consider like standing charges and multi-fuel discounts, but the primary price driving factor I've found are the unit prices. So the best overnight deal I can find, the better.

What other companies are out there? I've found the comparison websites to be a little useless in the eco7 area.

All advice appreciated.

Stephen

You have posted this in the "LPG, Heating Oil, Solid & Other Fuels" forum.

You will probably get better response if you either get the Board Guides to move it or re-post it in the "Energy" forum.

Just put your consumption into a comparison site and up they come - dozens of them - OVO, edf, sse, etc
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • OVO, EDF and SSE don't provide economy 7 tariffs. I have of course used comparison sites, but as in my original post, they quote based on daily rates only and show providers which don't provide cheaper overnight rates.

It would be nice to have a list of known providers and maybe from people who own electric cars who have experience in this area.

    Thanks

It might help if you post details of your electric vehicle and your typical need for overnight charge-up and the rate of charge available through your charging point.

For example OCTOPUS has a special economy4 arrangement for charging plug in vehicles, but that requires an agreed smart meter and obviously something with more capacity than a 13 amp plug.

    Just a thought.

    John.

In my part of the country (Midlands)

    OVO - 17.525/10.521 : 28.77p

    EDF - 21.375/9.597 : 21.363p
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
