Any luck with Previous Versions? Not sure if "system restore" will work as that doesn't touch data files (but you never know...).
Cloud backup?
File History?0 -

No cloud backup or file history
I'm not sure about previous versions apart from the customise tab and a restore default button which I'm too afraid to click in case I do something terrible like deleting all my photos. 0 -
Back them up first? e.g. to USB stick, external drive, Google Drive, OnneDrive, etc etcpennypincher2013 wrote: »I'm too afraid to click in case I do something terrible like deleting all my photos.0 -

So ... do what you should have done before today, and Make. A. Backup. of all of them Before you do any more clicking.
Where do your photos come from? Camera? Mobile device? Will there be any left on memory cards within those devices?0 -
What version of Windows? There should be a Previous Versions tab. If not right click on the file and select properties to see if there's a Previous Versions tab there too.pennypincher2013 wrote: »I'm not sure if I'm doing this correctly. Update: Just noticed you're running Win 8.1. In that case in File Explorer go to the top where the folder name is and type \\localhost\c$ - this will open your C: drive, from there just navigate to the folder as normal, probably under Users, then right click and select properties. You should be seeing the Previous Versions tab.0 -
You did not really answer Charlotte's question Were the Originals In another folder and to clear up what I am getting at were you moving them into a sub folder of the same folder? Recuva may help in that case.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . This worked! Thank you so much! :iloveyou: There weren't as many photos lost as I had thought. But still, so glad they're back.
And thank you to everyone who helped.0 -
