in Water bills
Hi all,
New to the board but I wondered if anyone can help or advise.
I'm on the committee of our local, non-for profit cricket club, and we have just received our water bill for last year. Just under 50% of the bill is for Sewerage charge and i wondered if any this could actually be charged for water that has been used for the the playing field?
Thanks in advance

50% of a bill for sewerage is normal .0

Yes there is a scheme for a rebate where a lot of the the water supplied does not enter the sewerage system. i.e. the water used on the cricket ground.
It involves getting an approved meter to measure the supply that goes to water the pitch.
So if, say, 60% of supplied water is used in the clubhouse and 40% on the pitch you will get a rebate for the sewerage element of 40%.
The scheme is different for each water company, so check your company.
This is an example for South West Water
