Brock, please start you own thread, this one belongs to tomita and is several months old.
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, as it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and has been known to get the charge cancelled.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

hi all
i need some advice...i moved the day before lockdown (sat 21st march)i had updated everyone i could with my new address except DVLA & my car insurance as each time i tried it advised me to do so once i had moved & not a week before ect.
needless to say lockdown happened the following day & although i got my insurance updated online, i only managed to get my driving license changed to the new address just last week (15th September) unbeknown to me i had been sent a parking fine from EURO CAR PARKS which was sent to me in June (during lockdown )to my old address. Despite asking the tenant to let me know if any post comes for me,i only found out Friday just gone (3 months later!)that there was post at my old address of which consisted of a parking fine...now because the first one was not responded to,(i would've had i known i received the letter!) they have also sent a 2nd letter & this states that it has now gone to debt recovery.
unable to appeal at this stage as 3 months have passed since the first letter,i contatced the debt recovery who have otld me i now need to pay £170 !
i explained the situation but they have told me if i don't pay it will go to court regardless.
now back to the place of parking issue...i parked in a car park that my local council had advised was free to park at during lockdown to support local traders so that we would shop local. Hence this is why i parked at this car park, which i am now being told is owned by euro car parks.
i wouldve bought a ticket had i known this & i wouldve either appealed the fine or paid the initial £60 fine had i been aware that i had post sent to my old address.
can anyone advise please on where i should go from here as the debt collectors have no interest & euro car parks wont communicate with me.
i lost my job 3 days before lockdown & have only just gone back to work,i cant adfford £170 especially when i feel this is totally unfair.
