The "3" was eventually returned to VM when I left them completely a few months ago.

Sorry this is OT but do you need to return your old router? I didn't see anything about that in the paperwork that was enclosed with the new router — and they haven't sent anything by text or email.

I had the first version of the Hub so assumed it was worthless and should go to my recycling centre.

I do not have anything else such as a TV box.

I've got to agree with vacheron here!

I was having dreadful problems with the Superhub 3 when it was rolled out to replace my SH 2, so bad that I left VM and went to Vodafone last year ... VM put there prices up too which didn't help.

Of course Vodafone broadband is not as fast as VM ( 100mb down to 76 ..) but it is far, far more reliable! ... for me anyway.

Of course if they are forcing you to replace it, then you probably don't have a choice ...

Not with the new router, but if you leave them later there is a possibility they might but it depends on how old the kit is.

When I cancelled VM I got a letter from them about 4 weeks later stating that they would be sending me a box to return the equipment. They included a list and each item had a cost associated with it which is what they'll charge you if you can't return it.

They had 4 bits of kit on their list for me (though they have told me to dispose of older kit in the past). They inluded the V6 TiVo and superhub 3 and also my originlal 500GB TiVo and superhub 2AC. However the original tivo and 2AC had a value of £0.00 against them meaning that you would not be charged if you didn't return them.

The V6 TiVo I think was £70.00 and the Superhub 3 was £50.00

Thanks for that. I didn't think they'd be bothered about one that old. ;)
