    Good morning everyone :hello:
I have woken up full of the joys of Spring so I have already thrown myself into the shower and got dressed. This is a big deal to me as I have been scared silly of climbing in and out of the shower so have been managing with strip washes for quite a while. It's silly but just one little thing can improve my quality of life so much. Anyway, I am planning my day and it will involve more than sitting on my big fat bum :D.

I managed to cook tea last night all on my own just by pacing myself and doing little bits here and there. It was spaghetti bolognese if anyone's interested :rotfl:. Everyone scoffed it down so I am going to cook again tonight. Something with chicken I think as we have a lot in the freezer.

Happy Birthday RedRuby, hope you have a brilliant birthday week. I have a big birthday next month and I am really looking forward to that too.

Well done to nanny and bozwood on your weight loss, I think it is brilliant xx
Welcome to katy too, hope you like it here xx

I am off to make a cuppa and a meal plan. Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Good morning, and it's dampish today, and a bit grey. it rained last night.

    Welcome Whatkatysaved!

Happy Big Birthday Redruby, it's definitely illegal to do housework on your birthday, I read it on the internet so it must be true! Have a lovely day.

Gers, I was sorry to read about your Mum's diagnosis

Hope your training course goes off ok NMLC

SO, pleased you've got your garden sorted.

Nelski, it's surprising how long you can live out of the freezer

AOD, hope the cystitis eases off soon

Camelot, I've never had a massage, hope it relaxed you

OL, what's happening about your clingy neighbour?

    Holly, enjoy your morning coffee.

Today, I'm accompanying a friend to the dentist, she's very nervous.

Yesterday I finished my ironing, and got quite a bit done because I didn't go out.
And that's it. for me today!!

Thinking of the sad and poorly people

    Take care all

Happy birthday!! Hope you have a wonderful time celebrating. _party_

And happy Thursday to everyone else. :D

I'm about to eat my banana, raisin and cinnamon oats and then get ready for work. Apparently a lot has happened while the manager and I have both been off this week, so it'll be a catch up day for everyone, I think. Have a great day, all of you!

Hester I love your new boat xx

Gers sorry to hear about your dear mum xx

    Have good days all xx

Happy hoppy hippy birthday RR. (Can't get the birthday cake emoji to work from the iPad).

Yes, I can confirm that doing housework, homework or coursework is illegal and punishable by being medically fused to a duster for life.

Cake and fizz are mandatory. Xx

Thanks so much for thinking about my DM. Now that she has the diagnosis she seems more relaxed as she's stopped worrying about there being anything more aggressive wrong. We had a very calm chat about money and inheritance last night, being German she likes things orderly! Not that she's going to drop off the perch in the near future.

Sorry to hear about your mum's diagnosis, but I'm glad she's not worrying so much. Take care, both of you!

    Morning all,

Sunny but breezy day here, not many plans today just a general tidy through and I have a few surveys to do, I also signed up to the Open Learn portal yesterday as I’m looking to do some studying to keep the old grey cells working well :D
Hope you feel better soon AOD

    Happy birthday Redruby.

Gers, I'm sorry about your mum but on a positive note dad was diagnosed with COPD as a result of inhaling industrial chemicals. He lived with it for many years without needing oxygen and died of something else.

Steve is still doing well, unfortunately I have got a sore throat and cough so I hope I don't pass it on.

We had a phone call from the bezzies last night - we were supposed to be going to Birmingham with them today to watch the badminton but we forgot all about it. I don't think we'll go though because of the risk of infection.

    Good morning,

    Wet and windy this morning.

Yesterday I stayed late in work again. I find I'm doing that more often than not, but I've got soo much to do and I enjoy the feeling of doing a good job so I don't mind really. Made some healthy shakshuka thing last night which was actually pretty nice considering the lack of meat. L/O tonight

Providing I finish at a reasonable time tonight, I'll visit the gym for a bit.

Boiler wasn't fixed yesterday as the gas man phoned in sick and supposedly you need someone with a license/insurance to go above 2 floors or something. Anyway, landlord has sorted it for Friday now.

    WKS - Welcome!!
OL - That sounds absolutely frightening. Such a shame.
RR - Happy 21st Birthday!!! Well, you did say it was a big one.
Gers - Thinking of you and your DM
Dumpling - Great to hear you're back in the kitchen again. Brilliant progress. Baby steps, remember.
