You've only lost one or the other - you never had both together.I've lost my money and my item
Insurance is for sellers.Insurance is for buyes, not sellers.
True but the lesson learnt may be not to sell delicate electronics so far and wide. Also electronics can be a target for scammers where parts can be swapped seemingly easily. Also I accepted the return and this cannot be undoneWarning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. I've lost both money (only postage but it wasn't cheap) and the item, because I wouldn't mind losing the postage if I got the item back and could sell it again, but that's been broken BY EBAY and no one is protecting me.
Definetely lesson learnt!0 -
A few weeks ago I sold a game, to a buyer, also in Spain.
I had actually put the game inside another board game box and then taped it up. (Example .. putting a Scrabble game inside an old Monopoly box)
To my surprise I get a case opened against me, saying the game was damaged with tape. I tried to explain, then get another message saying the wrong game had been sent. I then get a message from Ebay to say the buyer had been refunded.
What !!!!
I once again messaged the buyer and explained again that I had put the game in another box, so it wasn't the wrong game and it hadn't been damaged by parcel tape.
Oh ! she replies ... never thought of opening the box.
I contacted Ebay and they said the refund would no longer come out of my account but they would cover it themselves.
I was pretty p....d off, she got a game worth almost £30 for being stupid and free postage too. I contacted Ebay again to make sure I hadn't lost the money (I knew I hadn't) but I just wanted to give them my thoughts on the matter ... So the buyer gets a free game because of their stupidy. Yes was the reply .. just one of those things0 -
Same reply that I got.. that's how things are!0
