If I ignore thi latest letter purporting to be from Gladstones ,but requesting payment to DRP what do you think will follow? Will they take me to court??

It's pouring with rain here at the moment and my crystal ball is a bit cloudy.

If ever I do manage to see into the future, I'll be sure to ask that question on your behalf. ;)

You do understand they have up to six years to try their hand at court, don't you?

You still haven't answered the questions you have previously been asked.

Have you read the sicky thread for NEWBIES yet? This tells you exactly what will happen if you ignore a debt crawler letter.
Debt collectors have no powers except the ability to send you poor quality bog paper.

The parking scammers can however take you to court.

My popla appeal said:: I inputted the full registration number into the machine. For some reason only YCU registered. The lighting was poor and I thought I was printing a ticket for the full registration number. The parking company are not disputing I paid the required amount. The ticket shows I paid 7 minutes after arriving in the car park,of which they have photographic evidence.I have the ticket and their photo of me arriving and leaving the car park
Yes I do have a popla verification code.
I complained to my MP but have received no reply.
I will be writing to the landowner today
I will read bargepole as suggested.Thanks.
I had just completed 6 months chemotherapy when this kicked off so not fully switched on.
    Thanks again

If your POPLA code is still valid use it. You seem to have done a lot of research yet missed about POPLA.

Thanks for your thread.popla rejected my appeal on the basis that tickets are only valid if the full registration is printed.l have written to them since saying I owe them nothing,I paid the amount requested on the night and left well within the 2 hour time slot.i also told them that I would only pay them if I court ordered me to.They didn’t reply and have continued to send debt collectors letters which I ignore as I told them I would in my letter.
    Regards

That's good, so ignore the letters then, unless you get a claim.

As I said in post #11:
Smart are unlikely to do court but I think Gladstones have done a couple recently, in some rare cases. At this stage Gladstones have not even looked at it, as that letter is not 'from' them really.

No need to reply to a DRP letter, which that one is. No ringing them, promise!

If you get a real LBC with reply forms, giving you 30 days, come back and we'll help.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

At least you've made your position clear and are being consistent. If they do attempt court judges like consistency.

There are loads of cases similar to yours. You can do a search on things like incomplete VRN or wrong reg inputted etcetera.

From your later posts it looks like you revealed the driver's identity in your initial appeal and at PoPLA stage which is a shame, but not fatal to your case if it went to court.

Come back here to this thread if that happens.

Your best bet is still a landowner cancellation.
