I am the Defendant in this matter. I am an unrepresented consumer who is not experienced at attending county court. In this statement I will refer to the documents contained in exhibit marked XXX1, by page number.

Hi and welcome.
Firstly, can I please ask that you delete that post you have made on dejam's thread? It will only lead to confusion.
So you have a Claim Form with an Issue Date of 25th February 2019. Is that right?
With a Claim Issue Date of 25th February, you have until Monday 18th March to do the Acknowledgement of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it. To do the AoS, follow the guidance offered in a Dropbox link from post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread. About ten minutes work - no thinking required.
Having done the AoS, you have until 4pm on Monday 1st April 2019 to file your Defence.
That's nearly four weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to put you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to find out exactly what to do with it.
You now need to be reading post #2 of the NEWBIES thread. There is a link to that thread above.0 - Sign it and date it.

Have you complained to your MP?
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors. Is has been suggested by an MP that some of these companies may have connections to organised crime.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, (especially Smart}, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week), hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem become so widespread that MPs agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. Hopefully, this will become law by Easter .You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I was unaware of the driver who has used this vehicle on that day at that time.
So, are you saying that you have no idea who was driving the vehicle? Can you swear that in court on oath? If not, remove/amend it.You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
Yes I can.0

That seems to be a Witness Statement, not a Defence.
It makes no sense at this stage, as it even says things like:The Claimant's witness statement says
WS comes later.
Please re-read the WHAT HAPPENS WHEN part of the 2nd post of the NEWBIES thread & show us a draft defence, not a WS.
They are not the same, and this is all explained in that sticky thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I don’t have clue how this works.
I think that a lot of people write stuff without understanding what they write. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
We won't link the NEWBIES thread as the link to page one is at the top of this page and every page, in the breadcrumb trail my signature tells you to click on!
The point of us being (perhaps) a little 'harsh' about this is to show you how easy it is to hop from page to page and then back to page one again.
How do you think we regulars read up to 100 posts a day? By hopping back using the breadcrumb trail, back to the right page each time. We don't open 100 tabs.
That's what any forum breadcrumb trail link is at the top for.
If you can't see my signature under every post I make, get off your phone & on a laptop!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
