Anyone use 3 mobile for their home broadband?

Options
I'm thinking of getting a 3 sim card and a Mifi router for my home broadband. I live in London but in an area with only ADSL (and not very fast speeds). Was hoping someone on here is using 3 mobile sim for their Broadband and had an opinion on whether it is any good.

I was thinking of getting one of the following:

£21 per month: 100GB sim only for 12 months (and will buy my own router)
£22 per month: Unlimited data with Huawei HomeFi router for 24 months

Also, does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced 4g routers?

Thanks

Yes. 3 mobile is good, but it really depends on the signal in your area.

I've heard that London is congested for mobile networks so you might want to try it with a free SIM first to ensure that you get a good signal and speed consistently.

Your best bet is to try payandgo from Smarty unlimited data £25 runs on the three network.
For 4G routers try Amazon currently using tplink 4g ac1200

    Thanks for the tips.

Vodafone might also be a worthy contender with 100GB for £20 per month (12 month contract)

I would say you should go for HomeFi if you got decent speed wtih 3 and don't mind tie with contract for 2 years.

4G router would cost you £60 anyway.
So it sounds like £22 HomeFi is the one to get.

And don't forgot to check if any cashback from Quidco/ TCB

If you have spare phone at home, I do suggest you get £25 smarty and tethering for month to check how much data you used before you commit to 100GB plan.
  • I have bought the tp-link router and smarty sim.. works a treat
