REF: Subject Access Request (Data Protection Act 2018/ General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)) for Ref: xxxx

Dear Xxx Solicitors

I acknowledge receipt of you Letter Before Court Action dated Xxxx. Your letter contains insufficient details of the claim and fails to provide copies of evidence you are presumably relying upon. As such, I ask you to provide further information as detailed below, before I can decide how to proceed.
•Please supply the data about me that I am entitled to under Data Protection Law relating to myself.
• All photos taken
• All letters sent and received.
• Evidence regarding my VRN and a copy of every time VCS was alerted to this car being exempt on that day.
• All data and evidence held for this case.
•A full copy of the PCN issued.
• A copy of the contract with the landowner under which they assert authority to bring the claim, as required by the IPC code of practice section B, clause 1.1 “establishing your Client as the creditor.

It may be helpful for you to know that data protection law requires you to respond to the request for data within one calendar month.

I also require The Data Protection Officer to temporarily restrict processing of my data for 30 days whilst the SAR is undertaken and provided to me to read.
Until you have complied with all obligations and provided this information, I am unable to respond properly to the alleged claim and to consider my position in relation to it.

Yours Faithfully
Xxxx

By all means, send one to the solicitors. But also send one to the PPC, and the DVLA. The PPC may hold more information than they have passed on to the solicitors, and the DVLA will confirm when data requests were made.

I read it on another thread that you should send the letter to the car park management company as well as to the solicitors

Hi everyone, thanks for your help. After emailing the request for a SAR , the Solicitors responsed , & all they have is e car registration & registered keeper . They have said they are not going to restrict the processing of data cause they have a legal reason to continue ( that’s to collect a parking debt for their client ) . Their client Euro parking, have requested for my passport or driving license for proof of ID . Im going to forward them just a copy of the V5 .
Any idea what to do with the solicitors, I’m left with 3 days before the 30 days is up . ?

    No need to do anything.

Wait patiently for a County Court Claim Form to drop through your letter-box.

While waiting perhaps you should re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to discover how to deal with it.
