Ryanair - how big is the bag sizer?

I was having similar thoughts last month when I booked flights with Ryanair. Could I get away with just hand luggage and those dimensions? Decided no so I've paid for hold luggage. Even still the return flights from LBA to Bratislava are just under £70. Still way cheaper than paying for cabin baggage. So I'm not complaining .0

When I came home from Malaga just before Christmas, the lady and man in front of me had a cabin suitcase each, two huge rucksack and two full carrier bags each. They both had huge coats and their pockets were stuffed. Not a word was said. They were first on the plane and all their stuff went into the overhead locker, which the man shut before anyone else could use.
Sometimes you actually want the Ryanair staff to enforce their rules.0
