Hi, I have a ccj with claims4you who appear to have gone bust, I can't find any phone numbers or email addresses or forwarding solicitor details to pay off my debt, bit sure what my next steps are and how I go about getting it removed or paid off. Any help would be grateful

No it's not them it's claims4you, based in knowesley Liverpool, I've found out information on them But they went into liquidation end of last year, there just isn't any email or phone numbers available to contact them, I sent a letter to their address over a month ago but have heard nothing back0

Have you tried contacting the CCJ issuing court for information?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

Yes I've sent them an email explaining the situation, I was just hoping to hear from someone that might already know a solution0

Usually when a creditor goes bust, the assets will be sold off, someone will buy the debt, and they will be in touch with you, until then all you can do is wait.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Is it more than 30 days since the CCJ was issued? If so just be aware that paying it won't remove it from your credit file. It will simply be marked as 'settled' which is only marginally better than unsettled.
The only way to remove it is if you can get it set-aside and re-opened which you need valid grounds in order to do so.
It will drop off automatically 6 years after issue whether paid or not.0
