What are you shopping in lidl with? Your first post says you do not have enough for food, are you using a credit card?
Your first post says you do not have enough for petrol. Your 2nd says you have £50 left after petrol so I'm not sure what you mean.
You also have not said :
Are you claiming tax credits?
Do you get child benefit?
What is your salary?
I appreciate its scary, but to help we need all the facts.
What is the extra 300 for?
I am not working so my salary is 0
We getting child benefit every month 1370 -
I know you're probably not aiming to be 'debt free', just to manage your money better (and have some for food!) but you could start here:

I would ask the mods to move your post to the debt free wannabe board, it may be more useful and you'll get less trolls on your thread.[hasn't happened yet but it may do]
Personally, I would try and either make an appointment with the cab or phone them up, they have been invaluable for me, in that they pointed out there are a lot of things that I could apply for that I hadn't. Might help.
Also, use a foodbank if you need to, and our local scrapstore has food at the moment, free to any who need it, have you got something like that near you?Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

Get the UC situation sorted out - you say he is on UC as a single person (which is wrong if you are a couple), has he declared your two children?
Go onto the Turn2Us website also, put in full details of your situation and income, it will help you work out if there is anything you can claim.
Well done on making the first step though, asking for help is always tricky. You're not alone, we're all here to help you
Could you point me the direction to
That board you talking about where you can put your outgoing and income.0 -
You need to take tough decisions. £50 on phones is too much, sim only deal with 2gb data unlimited text and 2500 minutes (more than I need) is £6.85 a month. A second hand iPhone cost me £85. Why are you paying so much more? Who cares about the latest phone while your kids are having to do without??
Start buying whoops type food from Tesco, Asda, Co-op, M&S etc. Use your time to shop for less. There will be people on here who do a lot better than me on this but If I had to I could get my food spend right down by doing this.
Stop smoking. Easier said than done I'm sure, but spending money you can't afford on something harmful and frankly horrible while your kids can't be clothed and fed properly is awful. Reality time here, what do you think other people's view is of this? Mine is simple, Its dreadful. If you love your kids it stops. Start again when you can afford it if He's stupid otherwise give it up.
See if Hubby can arrange any car share with a colleague, I used to do this despite working shifts, If we shared twice a week it was a 20% saving.
See if you can get any work delivering papers or fliers, you can take the kids with you. Even a few £ a week will help.
And I do have sympathy, I respect anyone who works for a living so best of luck.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0 -

The first thing you need to do is get exactly what you have as income including child benefit and UC and what you spend on everything written down in one place - including smoking, overdraft fees and any annual bills. This is a good calculator to use. http://www.stoozing.com/calculator/soa.php The expenses you have posted here so far are less than your income, but you say this is not the case.
How long until your daughter is 3 and gets some free childcare hours? But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

If your child is 2 you may be bale to qualify for 15 hours free childcare if you went to work for at least 16 hours per week.0
