HDMI issue on replacement LG tv

Hi all,
We bought an LG 43UK6950PLB TV from Currys 10 days ago. The day after we got it home, HDMI 4 stopped sending a signal, although the TV detected it was plugged in. We got that TV replaced. Now the replacement TV has developed the same symptoms. The cables are brand new and we use all 4 of the ports. If I move the input to another port, it works ok. It's just port 4 that has failed. It's connected to an original Xbox one if that makes any difference.
Has anyone experienced repeated failures on replacement TVs before?
Thanks in advance for any ideas you might have.
Andy

What is HDMI 4 on the TV? They're not all identical, so check the handbook or the online manual.0

As above and check HDMI setttings on TV settings.0

Have you tried another device plugged into port 4 ?0

Are you hot plugging?0

Is Hdmi 4 arc, this means that its supplying its own power from the tv,no power supply needed.0

You say the new TV 'has now developed the same symptoms', does that mean that it did work for awhile? Do other devices work fine in port 4? You are switching to HDMI 4 input I presume? Does your Xbox have a HDMI output (apparently not all of the original ones did) or are you using a converter?0

To clarify, the TV worked with all HDMI inputs working. HDMI 2 is the arc input. I'm not hot plugging (at least, I wasn't until this issue) and nothing else works in hdmi 4.
If I connect anything to hdmi 4 the TV detects the connection, but doesn't show a picture. I can then 'hot swap' to any other hdmi port and the TV will detect the connection and display a picture. HDMI 4 does not display a picture, no matter what is connected to it.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I may need to contact lg and see what they say about it.0 -
On their website I noticed there was an update released 01/02/19 so make sure it's up to date first off.

There are some suggestions at the following which may help including turning off SIMPLINK.
