I suspect the employer is trying to frighten you. AFAIAA, CIFAS doesn't
get involved in employment disputes. However, if you have a legal add-on to your household insurance policy, it might be worth consulting them.0 -

From reading the OP's posts and related responses; it would appear the OP has been in charge of approving expenses and one of his subordinates has put through fraudulent expenses - the colleague was essentially paying himself.
If it has been assessed that he, in his position, should have noticed these fraudulent expenses then I don't see what there is to argue? It could never be factually proved whether he was aware or not of the fraud.

Finally bit relieved as my employer agreed not to update CIFAS however I have to resign to the job.0

Yes agree however once I am relieved from the role they cannot do that as per process. Because Date matters.0
