CIFAS take information from financial service providers, not from employers generally.

If you have a CIFAS marker for fraud from a bank, you won't get a job in financial services. You won't get authorised by the FCA either.

If they are they may well be planning to do what they say. Insurance companies come under the CIFAS remit.

I work for a ins company which is small in nature but a member of CIFASS and my new potential employer big bank is also a member of CIFAS. Apart from this I don't have any black mark against my name. And I am not really worried.

so does it mean I wont get a job at all in any financial organisations ,
I wont be able to do the interest free things at stores ?

can I not renew my mortgage ?

If you have a CIFAS marker for fraud, you won't get a job in financial services and you won't be able to access most financial services either.

Reference is not a problem, I can get my colleagues reference that I worked.

Companies in regulated industries don’t accept a colleague’s reference, they need an official one from HR or the like.

Did you commit this fraud? If so you will never work in a regulated profession again and will be frozen out of a great many financial services for years.

If you did not you need to work to get the marker removed, up to and including legal action.

Hi John,

Thats sad one then, so even if I get job it is tough ? I did not commit this..it was a genuine mistake which is put into a deaf ear. So my career is in a dark state then.

If it was a genuine mistake it is not fraud, and you need to fight this, up to and including through the courts.

While there is no way to prove it is Fraud, problem is my reportee was my very old colleague ..so they are strong and adamant. And from my reportee side he says it is a mistake from his side and he is ready to payback and resign.
