Credit Card Declined?

Ha, I love how people judge without knowing the facts!
I collect airmiles and avios - I have done for years and have plenty! This is done through card applications etc! I certainly don't have a debt problem!
But yeah, Chino, you keep judging and believing that everyone who has some sort of clearance is squeaky clean in all areas of their lives - considering public sector workers are paid quite badly! (PS I'm not employed by the public sector and never will be ;-))
Thanks everyone else (not Chino)0 -

Maybe posters should explain their situation first to prevent concussions being jumped to?
We see it here all the time - posters never give the full story from the off, then later it comes to light that there's actually more to it than meets the eye0 -

Is this the identity confirmation for the Government Gateway if you don't hold a valid U.K. Passport?
If so it is a real pain in the backside. I recently tried to register and obtain a tax refund transfer direct to my bank account rather than a posted cheque.
They outsource the check apparently and why they can't verify identity etc. electronically like any other organisation baffles me.
The questions are so ambiguous. I failed four times, even after referring to my credit files. Gave up and phoned so a cheque could be sent. Up to two months for a cheque to arrive!0
