PCN Parking Eye Crown Plaza Stratford Upon Avon

Hi there
I am new to this forum and hope this post is ok. I’m looking for advice/opinion on what I should do.
I have been away for 3.5 weeks and have just returned and opening my mail have discovered two PCN from Parking Eye (relating to sae incident). The said fine is for 12 minutes in the car park of Crown Plaza Hotel in Stratford Upon Avon. I wasn’t local to the area and live in the south of England. I only went into the car park as we were looking for a hotel and drove in whilst we asked Room rates and availability. We didn’t park the car propuor leave it...when we couldn’t get a room we drove out. We were captured on camera for our arrival and departure time.
The first PCN was to pay £60 by 15 Feb and then second one, I’ve missed that deadline as have been away and now the reminder has tomorrow 1 March as cut off for £100!
So...what do I do? 12 mins in a car park...and not knowing had to pay for the privilege of asking a question and now my appeal is 28 days of initial correspondence which was 1st Feb so basically I have until tonight!
I begrudge paying the fine full stop but if I have to kinda so be it but having to pay more for not being in country when was issued is a bitter pill to swallow. I have my flight details etc showing I wasn’t here... do I stand a chance?
I’ve checked the hotel website and it does say the car park is managed by Parking Eye.
Any advice thoughts gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

1. Read the NEWBIE section post # 1 for best advice
2. Complain to the hotel and ask them in fairly stiff but polite terms to have this cancelled. If this is how they treat potential customers you are glad you didn't stay there - especially as it would/might cost an extra £100 on top of the room rate!0 -
So...what do I do? 12 mins in a car park.
DO IT NOW ANYWAY - THIS WEEKEND - IT IS NOT TOO LATE.
Also, does your car have a dashcam with timing recorded, or did your (or a passenger's) phone have Google Location recording how long you were at each location that day?
I expect the car wasn't there for more than 10 minutes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
