Another person who doesn't check their statements. Amazing. Without proof of cancellation you can't do anything. Be grateful they're paying back one month, that alone three. Learn and move on.

If you have no proof of the cancellation take this a lesson, in future ensure you cancel properly (the easiest it to use a PAC and move the number to another sim).

Be happy they’re at least giving you some money back, and it might be an idea to start checking your bank account at least monthly to see who is taking money out of your account.

You’ve had advice in both replies you’ve received. You may not like the advice, but it is correct.

If it’s just sympathy you want, there are probably better places to ask.

Firstly, checking your bank statements regularly to avoid situations like this is some of the best advice you'll ever receive.

Secondly, make a formal complaint to three. Make sure you get the reference number. (Personally, I'd complain in writing with three.) Stress that they've reneged on their original resolution.

How exactly did you cancel? Did you not receive confirmation, or a final bill?
The contract does not end after 18m, it just reaches the end of the minimum term, until you give your 30 days notice.
Also, did you not cancel the DD after what you thought was the end of the contract? Only you can do that, not the supplier.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Had they done that they'd have made things several times worse.
