    Good morning guys
This month I’ve got a lot of expense so I’m going to try and spend as little as possible. We’re doing SW so we will need fresh stuff and I don’t want to let my cupboards run too low so I’m going to work on £100 for the month.
    Have a good month guys

I'm in! Please put me down for £300. My budget runs from 26th Feb until 26th March.

I have tried this challenge so many times before and failed. BUT...I have a renewed motivation, I actually have a meal plan in place this time and have created a shopping list and checked prices against mysupermarket etc to find the cheapest place. I'm actually hoping to come in under budget, but wanted to give myself a little wiggle room for extras (such as when my parents come to visit later this month.

    Spends so far:

    £7 Sainsburys
    £14.68 Tesco
    £29.94 Lidl
    £10 Boots
    £24.09 Farmfoods
    £13.30 Morrisons
    £1.25 Lidl

    Total so far: £100.26/£300

Anticipate spending more today as popping into Asda, Iceland and Waitrose (believe it or not, cheapest place for a couple of items).

This seems a lot within the first week, but it includes quite a few monthly expenses, such as nappies, bulk purchase of fizzy pop, kitchen roll, butter, soda crystals etc etc.

  • I may just scrape in under my £100 budget for February. However, I'm going to be stocking up a bit in March so am going for a (to me) extravagant budget for March of £150.
  • Good morning everyone

    Hi all,

Thanks Elsie for the new thread!

I'm in again. It's technically a 5 week month for me but me and the 2 littlies will be bobbying off on hols for 2 weeks at the end of the month so I think I'll leave it as if it was a 4 week month.
Can you put me down for £260 again for this mo th please? I may be pushing it because I'll need to make sure dd has enough in the freezer and cupboards not to starve (she *can* cook but would rather not bother) but hopefully I can just portion off some of the meals I cook and freeze for her. We'll see.

I might try to do March as a whole month rather than splitting into weeks so I can bulk buy if needed.
