Sky Price Increase Query

Like just about every other sky subscriber I’ve now had my sky price increase notification letter.

I had an odd query about the notification,

It states in the box a £2 increase for variety and £1 increase for sky q multiscreen.

It states within the text “the price of your package may be different than what’s shown above.”

However the notification does not show my current total price nor my new total price. Just simply the price increase per service.

So the question is does sky legally have to show the original and new total on the notification?
Any other service provider who has notified me of an increased price has atleast been clear in their communication to show the total new monthly payment.

Thanks for any responses in advance.

Chris

The letters are usually mass mailed when a blanket price increase is on the way so they tend to be generic.

It's usually because you're on a custom % discount deal when the old price and the new price don't match on the letter so your payments may not necessarily be an extra £2 a month. You can check the bill amounts in the "Future bills" section of your My Sky account.

Yes, the price rise will be pro-rata. It's also possibly due to all of the various legacy packages and when you originally signed up to them. For instance I'm on the legacy Boxsets package which is £39.35 full price but I know others on here on the same Legacy Boxsets package are priced either lower or higher than that purely because they signed up earlier or later than myself.

Edit: just checked Aprils bill which may be my last full one. My legacy Boxsets is going up to £41.50 from £39.35

So I'll be paying £20.75 instead of £19.67
