    Logbook loan on the car?
Probably not. It's quite common for vehicles to be sold at auction without the logbook being present.

At our local one they won't entertain you even entering the car without a logbook.

Isn't that a not if you are the current RK but have lost the V5 and are applying for a replacement?
No. The DVLA generally don't give a toss who taxes the car, as long as it's taxed.

Go to any BCA and you'll see plenty without one, although they have to advertise the fact upfront.

    Wrong...

Google how many buyers wrongly taxed a car and the previous keeper got the refund for it and the buyer had to tax it again.

Erm, ok thanks but what's that got to do with the DVLA? If the car is taxed, the DVLA don't care who pays it. Registered kepper, registered keepers mum, car trader, father christmas. As long as the tax is paid.

If someone taxes the wrong car, that's hardly the DVLA's fault nor concern.
