Help Administrator has banned my IP address

How did someone manage to trace your real name to your username on here?

It's a glitch of some sort - other people on here have had the same issue. Not sure how they resolved it though.

Cheers elsien for the link, this is exactly what I do because I like Word for getting my post reasonably well written before posting it.

I found in the past some mistakes got through when I didn't, especially if its a fair length of writing.

I've installed Opera which has a built in VPN for now because I am still banned and that seems to circumnavigate its way round the problem for now. No expert but I think this means the MSE site doesn't see my IP, am I right?

Wonderful as my mobile is it was torture writing anything of any length on there and using Opera gets me back on the PC for now.

And yes I have contacted the MSE team several different ways to insure they get something from me.

Might be a useful tip for others.

Yes, using the VPN in Opera your IP addy looks like it's coming from elsewhere in the world, to whatever location you set it to be.
